Mission
Seeding Hope is dedicated to reducing food waste and improving access to fresh, healthy produce in our local neighborhoods.
While nearly one-third of the U.S. food supply is thrown away - with fresh produce making up the largest percentage of that waste - 1 in 4 households right here in Los Angeles County doesn't know where their next meal is coming from. This isn't just a lack of calories; it's a crisis of health. Over 20% of our neighbors experience nutrition insecurity, meaning fast food and cheap, processed fillers are available, but fresh apples, greens, and whole foods are entirely out of reach. We thrive to bridge this exact gap by recovering perfectly good produce before it hits landfills and routing it directly to the families who need it most.
